Palm Radio's  Peg Leg
Tilt Stand Kit for the Yaesu FT-817

I'm very sorry to have to convey the news that as of 09/28/2018 production of Palm Radio products has ceased.  Here is the announcement from Dieter on the Palm Radio web site http://www.palm-radio.de/english/english.html  :

        Note:

For health reasons, and after the passing of Brunhilde (DK7SN), Uli (DL2BAT) und Klaus (DL9SKE) I am not able to
continue PALM RADIO in its current form.

        Dieter, DJ6TE

As inventory is exhausted we will remove the shopping cart links from Palm Products so you can quickly see what is still available.  Dieter has been unwell for some time and I understand his need to "lighten the load."  I'm very sorry for any inconvenience, and of course Morse Express will service Palm Radio products as long as we can. There is some possibility that limited production will resume in the future but as of now there is no good news.  On behalf of Dieter and Morse Express, thank you for supporting Palm Radio products and 73...

Marshall, N1FN

The Peg Leg tilt stand system was developed to improve the operating convenience of the Yaesu FT-817 by raising the front about an inch and a half.  The result is easier reading of the display, and better access to the front-panel controls.

The Peg Leg is an ingenious device, designed and manufactured in Germany.  It comes as a kit including detailed mounting instructions and all necessary parts like washers, screws, etc.  The Peg Legs are made of stainless steel for maximum strength, stability, and durability.

Features:peg leg docs

1.  The Peg Legs are permanently attached to the radio, so you won't lose them or have to search for them before your portable activities.

2.  The legs fold downwards in operation.  They tilt back up and out of the way for storage or when transporting the rig.

3.  The kit includes non-skid rubber feet for both legs and self-adhesive rubber feet to stick on the rear area of the bottom
cover. An 817 with Peg Legs installed will stay put!

4.  Durable but light-weight stainless steel is used for the legs and the screws, while high-quality nylon is used for the
washers.

5.  Installation of the Peg Leg system does not interfere with shoulder strap attachment.

6.  All front panel controls and the jacks on the side remain accessible and fully functional.  Because the rear of the radio
is tilted downward, we recommend using a right-angle co-ax adapter, or the front antenna jack.

What others are saying:

I just received the Palm Legs for my FT-817 and wanted to share my thoughts.

First - Excellent customer communication and order turn-around'/delivery.  Second - Why in the name of Hiram Percy
Maxim did I wait this long to order these?  I have seen Palm Legs for well over a year and kept thinking "I could do it better" for a
stand.  Guess what - I couldn't and admit that without shame.  It only took a few minutes to install them and that is why my question
of why did I wait so long.  Hands down the BEST option and product I have used!
