Hi - just back from Japan, where I saw lots of cool keyers. I was tempted by the Katsumi Electric KA- EK30 and KM23 combination, then saw the KA-EK160 and didn't know what to do. I did check the internet and saw that you sell Katsumi products - so I figured, why risk the overseas thing, and the Japanese instruction manual and buy when I got home. I have a first class radiotelegraph operator's license as well as my ham ticket, and worked on ships in Alaska for a number of years way back when. Anyway, I wonder which you would recommend - the ek130/km23 combination or the single KA-EK 160 keyer; I like the feel and weight of the km23, but i also liked the one stop shopping of the ka-ek160. i would not be using it to go on the air, but mainly to play around whenever my fingers get the itch...
also, are there any vibroplexes still around - mine was a semi-automatic silver one with a red paddle - that's all i remember. |
